• Rate the hoist for the reeving used: Direct line and pulley reeving have different ratings; the load must suit the one in use.
• Even rope lay: The cable guide pulley keeps the rope laying evenly, which is what stops it jumping the drum.

• صنّف الرافعة حسب طريقة التمرير: للخطّ المباشر والتمرير عبر البكرة تصنيفان مختلفان؛ ويجب أن يناسب الحمل الطريقة المستخدمة.
